June 11, 2020 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm UTC+0
The advent of COVID-19 has meant the postponing of over sixty elections worldwide, including in countries hoping to hold transformative elections, such as Ethiopia. This live conversation focuses on the steps that are necessary to hold elections, standards that must be applied to safeguard democratic elections, the support that is required from international and regional stakeholders, and the approach needed to monitor the quality of elections.
